This year's Together section brings together 20 short films spanning a rich range of themes: the climate and survival crisis, scientific inquiry and indigenous imagination, the exploration of human inner potential through encounters with nature, and the coexistence and resonance of life.
The characters in the narrative embark on journeys of change and reflection through various forms of relationship building involving growth, understanding, and care. These films go beyond simply observing nature and life; they explore our attitude toward addressing life crises, the collective strength that solidarity brings, and the pure vitality that emerges through maturation in nature. In doing so, the Together section becomes a space for reflection on peace and coexistence in a world rife with hatred and discrimination — making this year's lineup a particularly meaningful achievement.
A variety of special programs also await this year. There is a Live Dud Theater in collaboration with the Ulsan Community Media Center, an expert lecture on coexisting with stray cats, and a hands-on activity where audiences can craft their own souvenirs after screenings. An abundance of enjoyment beyond the films themselves is in store. This September, as autumn begins, we look forward to seeing you in the Yeongnam Alps!
