Preliminary Jury

KIM Se-jin
KIM Se-jin studied in Korean literature and film, and currently works on scenario consulting and storytelling. After majoring in theater and film at Hanyang University, he went to graduate school of the same university to research government-directed films of the 1970s. He has been lecturing about scenario, direction and film studies, and writing columns. He also has participated in the Jeonju IFF and the Busan ISFF as a judge.
HAN Song-i
Han has completed a Ph.D degree in film studies and has created films and instructed scenario writing for a while. She was a member of a climbing society before she quit due to a knee injury. She has been dreaming recently of returning to climbing and trekking.

International Competition Jury

Michael PAUSE
In 1978, after completing the German School of Journalism and studies of political science as well as history, he began working for the Bavarian Broadcasting Company producing films for the mountaineering show. Since that time he has edited and directed well over 150 films for the show. From its premiere in 2003, he ia artistic director of the Tegerness International Mountain Film Festival.
Sergio FANT
Sergio Fant is an Italian film programmer. After graduating in Film Studies and following an experience as film archivist and researcher, he went on conceiving, organizing and curating programs for several venues and festivals, collaborating with, among others, the Cinema Ritrovato Festival, the Pesaro Film Festival, the Rome Film Fest and etc. in Venice. He is a head programmer at Trento Film Festival and programmer of Locarno Film Festival.
LEE Myeong-hui
Lee Myeong-hui has been a mountaineer for 27 years since her school days. As a member of The North Face climbing team, she has climbed unclimbed peaks of the Himalayas in 2001, the north face of the Grandes Jorasses of the Alps in 2006, and the central peak of Patagonian Paine and Corre Torre in 2008. In 2015, she became the first female to climb Gangjeok Crack and is deeply interested in alpine climbing and huge rock face climbing.
LEE Jae-kyoo  
Lee Jae-kyoo is now a producer at KIMJONGHAK PRODUCTION Co.,Ltd. and the representative of FILM MONSTER Co.,Ltd. He directed many TV dramas including “Beethoven Vrius”(2008) and “The King 2 Hearts”(2012) of MBC as well as films such as The Fatal Encounter (2014) and Intimate Strangers (2018). He won the best Excellence Award at the Seoul International Drama Awards, the Special Prize for Foreign Dramas at the International Drama Festival in Tokyo, the Direction Award at the MBC Drama Awards and many other awards for direction and best work.
Pasang Lhamu Sherpa AKITA
Pasang Lhamu Sherpa Akita from Solukhumbu Lukla, is a First Nepalese women mountaineer’s instructor. First Nepalese women started working as a mountain guide internationally. She was National Geographic’s 2016 Adventurer of the Year, and the First Nepalese women climbed to K2.

NETPAC Awards Jury

LIM Dae-guen
Professor at Hankuk University of Foreign Stud-ies(HUFS), Graduate school of Interpretation & Translation and Department of Global Cultural Contents. He gained both Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chinese language and was granted Ph.D. in Chinese Film Studies at HUFS. He is studying, lecturing and translating about Chinese Cinema, Popular culture and Cultural contents. He is a chairman of Asia Cultural Creativity Institute(ACCI) and appointed in Marquis Who's Who in the World, 2015~2018.
ZHANG Xianmin
Zhang Xianmin is a graduated of FEMIS in France and is one of organizer of China Independent Film Festival and Prof. of Beijing Film Academy. He is also an independent film producer, actor, critic, and programmer at CIFF, Isaas, Qifang CC. He is founder of Indie Workshop and Heaven Pictures and producing independent films. Also he was a juror at BISFF, Clermont Ferrent, Guangzhou Doc, IFFR and etc. These works are making him the most active figure in Chinese Independent Cinema today.
Philip CHEAH
Philip Cheah is a film critic and is the editor of BigO, Singapore's only independent pop culture publication. He is Advisory Council member of NETPAC, and is currently program consultant for the Jogja-NETPAC Asian FF, the Eurasia IFF, and Shanghai IFF. He co-founded the South-east Asian FF and is Advisor to the Hanoi IFF. He was given an award for Achievement from the Kyrgyzstan Film Critics in 2010, Vietnam Cinema Association in 2008, 8th Cinemanila IFF in 2006, and 9th Busan IFF in 2004.
