People living in the Andes Mountains, Peru believe that women and Mother Earth are intimately connected. This documentary focuses on five generations of female farmers. They want to cultivate natural farming with the sun and moon following their traditions, but they face a harsh reality in the rapidly changing natural environment caused by climate change. It is their calling to refuse to undermine the earth, not only for posterity but also for good lives. ‘Sembradoras de Vida’, the people in this documentary are ‘the seeders of life’ as its original title says. For this, the Samientos’ primary focus of filming is nature in the Amazon.(YOO Sun-hee)
