Together - Classic

Classics get better with time. Fundamentally, film is an art that needs to reflect the times, but certain classics continue to convey important values beyond their time and region. They are not simply old films, but true 'classics'. This year, our Classic section has selected 5 films about mountains, nature and people that remain valuable today. Masterpieces showing man amid nature include Out of Africa, which displays the vast outdoors of Africa in tune with classical music, Lord of the Flies, which brings to screen the keen insight of the original novel, and Seven Years in Tibet, based on the true story of a famous climber. Ozu Yasujiro’s Late Spring will give you a glimpse of old Kyoto, and Raining in the Mountain, which was filmed in Korea, will provide you with the rare opportunity to visit Korean mountains and streams of the 70s.
